Dubai,: Mangalore Konkans Dubai, a leading community organisation of Mangalureans in the UAE, successfully conducted a blood donation drive at the DHA Blood Donation Centre, Dubai. The event, held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, received an overwhelming response with 96 donors and over 100 participants joining hands for the humanitarian cause.

The drive was graced by Stephan Menezes, President of Mangalore Konkans Dubai, along with James Mendonca, Executive Advisory Committee Member, and Mr Wilfred, Owner of Wills Restaurant Dubai. Also present were Bala Salian, Coordinator of Blood Donation Camps in Dubai, and Sirajuddin Parladka, Chief Coordinator of Blood Helpline Karnataka.
A highlight of the event was the felicitation of Sirajuddin Parladka for his remarkable contributions as the Coordinator of Blood Helpline Karnataka (Regd.), where his tireless efforts have saved countless lives both in India and abroad.
Recognising the work of Blood Helpline Karnataka
Under the leadership of Sirajuddin Parladka, Blood Helpline Karnataka has achieved several milestones:

Conducted over 250 blood donation camps, collecting 12,000+ units of blood.
Mobilised more than 3,000 emergency donors to hospitals.
Organised 21 blood donation camps across Karnataka, collecting 602 units of blood.
Donated over 700 units during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Maintained a remarkable 15-minute response time for emergency requests.
His efforts have been recognised by the Dubai Health Authority, the Regional Blood Transfusion Centre in Karnataka, the Kodagu Medical Science Institution, and several hospitals across Karnataka, UAE, and Saudi Arabia.

To express gratitude, every donor received goodie bags and biryani sponsored by Wills Restaurant, Silicon Oasis, Dubai.
The event highlighted not just statistics but also the spirit of compassion, humanity, and unity. Organisers noted that each donation symbolises hope and gives patients a second chance at life.
