Dubai: Thiya Samaj UAE organised the traditional Durga Namaskara Puja at The New Academy School, Dubai, drawing a large congregation of devotees for an event steeped in spirituality and cultural reverence. The sacred ritual was aimed at supporting individuals on their spiritual paths, removing obstacles, and addressing both personal and ancestral challenges through divine blessings.

A Celebration of Divine Feminine Energy

The ceremony invoked the powerful energies of Goddess Durga in her three revered forms—Mahakali, the protector against negative forces; Mahalakshmi, the harbinger of prosperity; and Mahasaraswati, the embodiment of wisdom and enlightenment. The rituals commenced with the pujari invoking various deities into a rangoli mandala symbolising the five elements (Pancha Mahabhootas), followed by the lighting of five lamps representing each element.

Each manifestation of the Goddess was honoured through 54 sacred offerings, culminating in the Prana Pratishta ritual, which is believed to invoke the living presence of the deity.

Women Lead the Sacred Ceremony

The event commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting by the women of Thiya Samaj, held in collaboration with Ramakesthriya Seva Samithi Dubai and Raja Rajeshwari Bhajana Vrinda UAE. Purohits Ravi Lohith, Vishweshwara Adiga, Subramanya, and Shivananda Kaloor led the rituals with devotion and precision, explaining the spiritual significance of each rite.

Representatives Kaushik, Anjali, Mahesh Raj, and Shravya performed the ritualistic 52 Namaskaras, joined by numerous devotees who experienced the divine presence of Goddess Durga in a deeply moving atmosphere.

Spiritual Offerings through Music and Dance

The sanctity of the occasion was further enhanced by soulful artistic offerings. Ashish Harish Kodi mesmerised the audience with his flute recital, while Brahmi offered devotional music (Sangeetha Seva). The Nrithya Seva Aaradhane featured graceful Bharatanatyam performances by Anshika Shijith and Sannidhi Shetty, leaving the audience spiritually uplifted.

The puja concluded with the Mahamangala Aarathi, followed by the distribution of Thirtha and Mahaprasada to all attendees, symbolising divine grace and communal harmony.
