Poster launch marks ISC’s official support
The India Social and Cultural Centre (ISC) in Abu Dhabi officially endorsed the UAE’s “Year of Community 2025” campaign with a poster unveiling ceremony held on 20th April 2025. The campaign, initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, aims to promote unity, cultural harmony, and community engagement across the Emirates.
The grand poster was unveiled by the Honorable former President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, in the presence of top dignitaries and Indian community leaders. The event served as a symbolic gesture of the Indian expatriate community’s commitment to the campaign’s core values.
Dignitaries attend landmark celebration
The event witnessed the participation of several prominent personalities, including Indian Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Mr. Sunjay Sudhir, ISC President Mr. Jayaram Rai, General Secretary Mr. Rajesh Sreedharan, ISC Patron Governor Mr. K. Muraleedharan, and business leader Padmashri Dr. Yusuf Ali M.A., among others. Also in attendance were members of the ISC Managing Committee, General Governors, and Indian families living in the UAE.
Messages of unity and commitment
During his address, Shri Ram Nath Kovind praised the UAE’s visionary leadership for launching an initiative that strengthens social cohesion. He commended the community-focused goals of the campaign and stressed the importance of inclusive growth and cultural togetherness in today’s world.
Dr. Yusuf Ali, a leading figure in UAE’s Indian community, highlighted ISC’s role in fostering mutual respect and cultural exchange. He reaffirmed that ISC would fully support the “Year of Community” campaign through its activities and outreach.
ISC President Mr. Jayaram Rai also spoke on the occasion, stating, “The India Social and Cultural Centre has long stood as a vibrant symbol of India’s culture, unity, and community spirit in the UAE. The ‘Year of Community’ is a commitment to promote harmony, social welfare, and inclusive development across all sections of society.”
