Dubai: The Moodbidri Varado Catholic community celebrated Monti Fest 2025 with devotion, cultural vibrancy, and a spirit of togetherness at the Iranian Club, Oud Metha, Dubai. Organised by Udenthichim Neketram, the event brought together over 450 attendees from 14 parishes, making it a grand display of faith and fellowship.

Prayer, tradition, and unity

The day began with a prayer dance, setting a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. The traditional welcome with Panpod-Udak, performed by Rudolf and Lanitha Sanctis, honoured the guests. In a special moment, representatives from all 14 parishes placed stars on the group logo as part of a newly arranged theme song by Franklin Rodrigues of Siddakatte, symbolising unity among the members.

A floral procession led by children surrounded the adorned statue of Infant Mary (Monti Saibin), adding warmth and devotion to the gathering. Fr. Victor Fernandes OFM Cap, Spiritual Director of St. Mary’s Mangalorean Community, Dubai, led prayers and hymns, inspiring gratitude and collective worship. Children enthusiastically offered flowers to Infant Mary, embracing the spirit of thanksgiving.
