- On November 7, a first-semester boy and a second-semester girl had a fight on campus. Both slapped each other during the altercation. The university intervened, and both apologized.

- On November 12, outside the campus, the girl and her male friends allegedly assaulted the boy, strangled him, and demanded ₹2 lakh, threatening him with their “political connections.” They robbed his memory card and warned him to pay soon.

- The student reported the incident to the UGC anti-ragging helpline on November 14, prompting the university to file a police complaint on November 16.
