Bomb Threat at Bengaluru Mall Declared a Hoax

On Monday, VR Bengaluru Mall in Whitefield, eastern Bengaluru, received an email threat alleging that explosives were planted inside the mall.

• Threat: The email warned of explosives within the mall premises.
• Response: The mall administration alerted the police, who quickly launched an investigation. A bomb squad and other teams were deployed to check the premises.
• Outcome: After a thorough inspection, the threat was declared a hoax.
