Clash Over Ganja Dispute Leads to Assault in Udyavara
A clash between two gangs over a ganja dispute resulted in the brutal assault of 25-year-old Muhammad Parvez Ummar from Sampige Nagar, Udyavara. The incident occurred on July 9 at around 9:30 PM, when Parvez received an urgent call from Faizy alias Faizal, requesting him to come to Manipal.
Parvez arrived at MS Mart around 10:15 PM, where Faizal, accompanied by Dawood Ibrahim and Isaac alias Icchu, forcibly pulled him into a Swift car. Faizal accused Parvez of selling marijuana in the area and demanded a monthly protection fee to allow him to continue his activities in Manipal, threatening severe repercussions if he refused.
The assailants then drove Parvez to an undisclosed location. There, Dawood and Isaac assaulted him with a wooden stick, while Faizal slapped and kicked him. After the brutal attack, they returned Parvez to his home early the next morning, warning him not to report the incident to the police.
Despite the threats, Parvez, suffering from severe pain and injuries, sought medical treatment at Ajjarkad Government Hospital. The Manipal police have since registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
