A viral social media post claims that the Delhi police have issued a notice about an Iranian gang from Bidar and Gulbarga posing as blanket sellers to conduct home surveys and rob houses. However, this claim is misleading and false.

The notice in question actually dates back to July 2019, when the Bajpe police in Mangalore issued a precautionary warning about an Iranian gang involved in similar activities. Udupi SP Nisha James later clarified that no such incidents had been reported in the area, and the notice was intended as a preventive measure. There has been no recent statement from the Delhi police regarding this matter.

The viral image and claim have been debunked by several fact-checkers, revealing that the notice originated from Bajpe police in 2019 and has no connection to the Delhi police. Furthermore, when the image went viral in Telangana in 2019, Hyderabad police confirmed it as a fake message.

To summarize, the claim that the Delhi police recently issued a notice about an Iranian gang is FALSE; the notice is outdated and was originally issued by Bajpe police in Mangalore.
