A tragic incident unfolded in Shivani village, Kadur taluk, where a 35-year-old man, Manjunath, was arrested for murdering his five-year-old daughter. The crime occurred on September 19 when Manjunath, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, attacked the child with a metal pipe after she questioned him about drinking. His wife was not home at the time. Police revealed that ongoing disputes between the couple, driven by Manjunath’s suspicions of his wife’s fidelity, had escalated. The younger child is currently staying with grandparents in Bengaluru.
