In a shocking incident, Divyashree (46), a government school teacher at Mudianur Government Higher Primary School, was brutally murdered in her residence at Aswath Narayanshetty Extension, Mulbagal, on August 14. While watching television, Divyashree was attacked by three assailants who slit her throat.
Divyashree’s daughter, Nisha, discovered the tragedy after hearing her mother’s screams and running downstairs to find her in a pool of blood. The victim’s husband, Padmanabha Shetty, is involved in the finance sector and owns an incense stick manufacturing unit.
The murder has deeply shocked the community in Mulbagal. Superintendent of Police (SP) Nikhil B has dispatched three teams to investigate the case and a technical team to analyze cellphone and CCTV data. Bordering check posts have been alerted as part of the ongoing search for the perpetrators.
