The Kota police have arrested Kiran (44) for allegedly murdering his wife, Jayasri (31), at their residence in Karkada on Friday morning. According to Udupi SP Dr Arun K, Kiran and Jayasri, originally from Donagpur in Bidar, had been living in a rented house in Karkada. Neighbors reported hearing heated arguments and a scuffle between the couple on Thursday night.
On Friday morning, Jayasri was taken to a hospital in an ambulance, but the police, responding to information about the incident, discovered that she had been murdered by Kiran. The victim’s relatives have been notified of her death. Kiran, who worked as a cook at Guru Narasimha Temple for the past two years, will be produced in court. A case has been registered under Sections 103 and 238 of the BNS.
