A team led by Mulki police station ASI Sanjeeva AP has arrested Itti Panicker, 58, from Kollam, Kerala, on charges of stealing 39 mobile tower batteries and several compound gates. City police commissioner Anupam Agrawal reported that three cases were registered at the Mulki police station regarding the theft of Airtel mobile tower batteries from KS Rao Nagar in Kilpadi and S Kodi in Talipadi village.

Additionally, five iron gates were stolen from Nelligudde Cross in Aikala. The police successfully arrested Panicker and seized 39 batteries worth ₹2.6 lakh, three iron gates worth ₹52,000, and a goods tempo used to transport the stolen items, valued at about ₹5 lakh. The total value of the seized items is ₹8 lakh.

Commissioner Agrawal commended the swift action of the Mulki police team, which led to the recovery of the stolen goods and the arrest of the perpetrator. This arrest is a significant step in curbing the theft of valuable equipment and infrastructure in the region.
