A man has fallen victim to an online scam, losing Rs 34.5 lakh to fraudsters who promised substantial returns on share market investments. The scam began on July 1 when the victim discovered a link on Instagram and downloaded an associated application. Soon after, he was contacted by individuals through a chat box who persuaded him to invest, assuring him of significant profits.

Between July 1 and August 12, the victim made multiple transactions, investing a total of Rs 34.5 lakh. However, when he attempted to withdraw his funds, the scammers demanded an additional 20% tax, raising suspicions.

Despite his repeated efforts to recover his money, the victim was unsuccessful. He has since filed a complaint with the cyber police, seeking justice and recovery of his lost funds.
