Mangaluru: Police Investigate Kidnapping of Medical Seat Agent

Mangaluru: Mangaluru East police have launched an investigation into the kidnapping of Sharath Babu, an agent specializing in medical and paramedical college admissions. The incident came to light after Babu, who handles admissions for institutions in Bengaluru and Mangaluru, was reportedly abducted on Tuesday.

According to the police, Babu had previously received ₹9 lakh from a student’s parent, allegedly paying ₹2 lakh to a college in Bengaluru. The remaining amount was not paid, leading to repeated demands from the parent. The situation escalated, resulting in Babu’s abduction.

A kidnapping case has been registered, and authorities are working diligently to locate and recover Babu. The victim’s cousin, who is familiar with the details of the case, has filed the complaint.
