Udupi, Jun 17: Two individuals, identified as Shreehari (19) and Abhijith (20), were apprehended by Manipal police on June 10 for drug consumption.
Police Intervention
Sub-Inspector Raghavendra C, accompanied by officers Chennesh and Manjunath M.R., encountered the suspects in an intoxicated state during patrol duty in Shivalli village, Hayagriva Nagar, 5th Cross. Suspecting drug use, the officers promptly transported them to the Manipal KMC Forensic Medicine Department for testing.
Confirmation of Consumption
On June 16, tests confirmed the consumption of narcotics by both individuals.
Legal Action
A case has been filed at the Manipal police station in connection with the incident.
