
Mason Stabbed in Ramanagara After Objecting to Shouting for Actor Darshan
Ramanagara: A 35-year-old mason, P Venkataswamy, was stabbed by two youths in Ramanagara district after he objected to their chanting of slogans in support of actor Darshan, who is also a murder accused. Venkataswamy, who is from Sulikerepalya, is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital and is reported to be out of danger.
The incident occurred at an under-construction building where Venkataswamy lives in a makeshift shed. On Saturday night, while discussing Darshan, Kiran and Mahadev, along with their friends, began shouting “D Boss, D Boss.” Venkataswamy confronted them, urging them to stop disturbing others, which led to a violent confrontation. Kiran pulled out a knife and stabbed Venkataswamy in the neck, while Mahadev assaulted him as well. Another labourer, Kalaiah, intervened to prevent further harm.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects, Kiran and Mahadev.
