Pakshikere Tragedy: Investigation Uncovers Fraud Allegations Against Karthik Bhat

The investigation into the tragic murder-suicide of Karthik Bhat and his family in Pakshikere has revealed fresh allegations of fraud against Karthik, who was a manager at a cooperative bank in Suratkal. A local resident, Mohammed, has lodged a cheating complaint at Suratkal police station, alleging that Karthik deceived him in a loan transaction.

According to the complaint, Mohammed secured a loan of three lakh rupees by pledging 10 sovereigns of gold at a finance firm managed by Karthik. Within three months, Karthik reportedly released the gold, misleading Mohammed and breaching trust. Police are examining the cooperative bank’s records as part of the ongoing investigation and have consulted with bank officials.

Authorities also conducted a site inspection with members of Karthik’s and Priyanka’s families. Sources suggest another individual may come forward with a similar complaint against Karthik soon.
