In response to public complaints regarding prostitution and unauthorized late-night operations of hotels, city police launched an extensive nighttime operation across several key areas. The operation, spearheaded by Inspector Sridhar Satare from the city police station, focused on locations like the old KSRTC bus stand, the NARM bus station, and both city and service bus stands, which had reportedly become hotspots for such activities.
During the raid, police questioned individuals loitering without valid reasons and directed them to vacate the premises. They also issued warnings to hotel operators observed operating beyond legally permitted hours, reminding them of the importance of adhering to city regulations. The crackdown aimed to curb activities contributing to public disturbances and to enhance security for the community.
Inspector Sridhar Satare stated that the operation was organized based on community concerns and aimed to maintain law and order, particularly in areas known for high night-time foot traffic. Authorities noted that such operations would be repeated as needed to ensure compliance with the city’s public safety norms. The police encourage the public to continue reporting such issues, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
