On Friday night, a series of thefts shocked the residents of Chittapur, Kalaburagi, as five houses were broken into in Ashraya Colony and Venkateswara Colony. Four houses in Ashraya Colony and one in Venkateswara Colony were targeted.
CCTV footage captured five individuals breaking the locks, stealing valuables, and fleeing the scene. This footage is now pivotal in the ongoing investigation.
In response to the thefts, a team of officials, including DySP Shankar Gowda Patil, CPI Chandrasekhara Thigadi, PSIs Srishail Ambati and Chandraamappa, along with personnel Nagendra and Ayyanna, conducted a thorough examination of the crime scenes. Fingerprint experts were also called in to assist in gathering evidence.
A case has been registered at the Chittapur police station, and the police are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the culprits. The swift action by the police and the use of forensic experts underscores their commitment to solving this case and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
