A late-night break-in at the popular Sri Lakshminivas KT Hotel in Kalladka has captured public attention after CCTV footage of the incident circulated widely on social media. The hotel, a longstanding favorite in the region, was targeted around 2 am on Friday. The thief, wearing a helmet and equipped with a flashlight, reportedly entered and stole the offering box (hundi) placed for the deity.

In the video, the intruder can be seen casually roaming through various sections of the hotel, including the cash counter, for about seven minutes. Police confirmed the theft but noted that, despite the viral footage, hotel owners have yet to file an official complaint. However, Bantwal town police have taken steps, securing the footage as part of an active investigation.

This incident has raised concerns among locals, with calls for heightened security to prevent such occurrences in the community.
