Two Sexual Assaults Reported in Bengaluru Over the Weekend

Bengaluru witnessed two distressing incidents of sexual assault over the weekend. On Saturday night, a girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by an auto driver in the HSR Layout area. The victim was taken to a hospital for medical examination, and the Bengaluru Police have registered a case and are actively investigating the matter.

In a separate incident, a final-year college student was assaulted in the early hours of Sunday. The student had hitchhiked a ride from an unknown biker while returning home to Hebbagodi from a get-together in Koramangala. The Additional Commissioner of Police (East Zone), Raman Gupta, confirmed that the suspect is the man who provided the lift. The police have registered a rape case and are working to apprehend the assailant. Gupta noted that multiple teams have been formed to expedite the investigation.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they work to resolve both cases and ensure justice for the victims.
