
Udupi Police Arrest Bike Thief, Recover Stolen Vehicle
In Udupi, police have arrested Prakash Nayak, a resident of Brahmavar, in connection with a bike theft case that had been registered six months ago. The stolen bike was recovered and confiscated during the operation. Nayak was apprehended during a police check following a chain-snatching incident involving an elderly woman the previous day.
While investigating the chain-snatching case, the police noticed Nayak riding suspiciously near Mannapalla MJC College. A subsequent check revealed that the bike he was riding had been reported stolen. The accused was brought before the court and has been sent to judicial custody.
Inspector Devaraj, Sub-Inspector Raghavendra, and personnel Imran and Prasanna of the Manipal police station played key roles in the operation. Their efforts led to the recovery of the stolen vehicle and the arrest of Nayak.
The case highlights the effective response of local law enforcement in tackling property crimes and ensuring that stolen goods are recovered and returned to their rightful owners.
