Udupi Town police seized 40kg of illegally stored fireworks at Cabral Gun House in Moodanidambur village on Tuesday. Acting on a tip-off, sub-inspector Puneet Kumar led the raid, uncovering the fireworks stored without proper safety measures or a valid licence. Ronald G Cabral, present at the scene, admitted to purchasing the fireworks for Diwali sales. A case has been registered at the Udupi Town police station due to the serious public safety risk.
