Woman Allegedly Assaulted by Biker After Hitchhiking in Bengaluru

A woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by an unknown biker in the early hours of Sunday in Bengaluru. The victim, a final year college student, had hitched a ride with the suspect while returning home to Hebbagodi from a get-together in Koramangala.

According to Additional Commissioner of Police (East Zone) Raman Gupta, the man who gave her a lift assaulted and raped her. A case has been registered, and the investigation is underway. Gupta confirmed that the suspect is believed to be the man who provided the lift.

Police have formed five teams to pursue the case and are working to apprehend the accused. The authorities have visited the scene and are gathering further information from the victim and her relatives.
