A distressing incident unfolded in Davanagere, where a young student lost his life in a horrific accident at a residential school. Following the tragic death, law enforcement took the headmaster and warden into custody after the grieving parents formally lodged a complaint.

The unfortunate event transpired at the Manjunathaswamy Scheduled Caste Residential Hostel when a boy named Ranganath suffered fatal injuries. The disaster struck on Tuesday as he was fueling a boiler with firewood, reportedly acting on the warden’s directive. The heavy boiler unexpectedly toppled, crushing him.

His devastated parents assert that the real cause of their son’s passing on Wednesday was the failure to provide timely medical attention. Allegedly, the delay in treatment cost Ranganath his life. Deeply aggrieved, his father, Ramappa, approached the KTJ Nagar police station to file an official complaint.

Acting on his report, the authorities swiftly intervened, detaining both the headmaster and warden for questioning. Law enforcement agencies have now launched a comprehensive probe into the matter, ensuring accountability for the negligence that led to the student’s untimely demise.

This heartbreaking incident raises serious concerns regarding safety measures in student hostels and the responsibilities of those in charge. Parents and local residents are calling for stringent action to prevent such tragedies in the future.
