A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Hubballi under the Ashok Nagar police station limits, where a five-year-old girl lost her life in a suspected crime involving serious harm.

As per preliminary reports, the child was taken to a nearby shed by the accused. When she cried out, nearby residents rushed toward the location. It is suspected that, in a bid to avoid being caught, the individual caused the child’s death and fled the area.

CCTV footage from the neighborhood reportedly shows a person carrying the child away from near her home, giving police vital leads.

The Ashok Nagar police have registered a case and are actively pursuing the suspect. A search operation is underway, and authorities have urged the public to share any helpful information.
