Vishvaa Rajakumar, a 20-year-old from Puducherry’s Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology, has emerged victorious in the Memory League World Championship. Competing against 16 top-ranked participants, he stunned the world with his lightning-fast recall abilities.

Rajakumar memorized 80 random digits in a record-b+reaking 13.50 seconds and identified 30 images in just 8.53 seconds. The tournament, conducted online, followed a double-elimination format, where players had to recall numbers, words, and images after briefly viewing them.

Sharing his preparation techniques, Rajakumar emphasized the importance of hydration. “Drinking water clears your throat, allowing faster sub-vocalization, which boosts recall speed,” he explained. His memory palace technique begins with familiar locations—his room, kitchen, hall, veranda, and bathroom—helping him organize vast amounts of information.

With the championship title secured, Rajakumar now aims to train aspiring memory athletes and establish a dedicated memory institute in India. His win highlights the immense potential of memory training and cognitive skills in competitive settings.
