Davangere University has postponed the final year B.Com examination for the E-Commerce subject after an error led to question papers with answers being distributed to students. The exam was scheduled for August 6 at 10:00 am, and students in Chitradurga and Davangere districts arrived punctually. However, upon receiving their question papers, it was discovered that the papers included the answers as well. This mistake prompted an immediate suspension of the examination.

The issue affected over 70 affiliated colleges across the two districts, impacting approximately 500 students who had selected the E-Commerce subject. The faulty question papers were distributed across 15 examination centers.

University Registrar (Evaluation) C.K. Ramesh issued a statement addressing the situation. He confirmed the postponement of the examination and assured that a new date will be announced soon. Ramesh expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the students and reassured that the university is working to rectify the issue swiftly.

The incident underscores the need for stringent checks in examination procedures to prevent such occurrences in the future.
