Final year NIT student found dead in hostel room

A final-year student from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur was discovered dead in his hostel room late Sunday night in an alleged suicide.

The student, Ayansh Sharma, hailed from Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, and was enrolled in a dual-degree program in electronics and communications. NIT registrar Archana Nanoti described him as an exceptionally bright student.

Authorities recovered a suicide note, but it contained no allegations or references to external causes. The police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
