Hassan Govt School Shines with 100% SSLC Pass Rate for 8th Year
Hassan: A government high school in Hassan district has once again set a benchmark by achieving a 100% pass rate in the Karnataka SSLC Examination 2025—for the eighth consecutive year. This remarkable feat stands out against the state’s overall pass percentage of 66.14% for regular fresh students.
Hassan district itself showcased stellar academic performance with an 82.21% pass rate, ranking among the top-performing districts in Karnataka. The school joins 921 institutions across the state that also recorded a flawless result this year.
Significantly, girls outshined boys in the exam, with 74% of female students passing compared to 58.07% of male students. Among the state’s top scorers, 22 students secured full marks, and many hailed from government-run schools—highlighting their growing role in delivering quality education despite limited resources.
In stark contrast, BBMP high schools in Bengaluru lagged behind. Of the 2,257 students who appeared from 33 BBMP schools, only 1,259 cleared the exam, leading to a disappointing 55.78% pass rate. Merely 78 students managed to score distinctions (85% and above), raising concerns about the disparity in academic performance between rural and urban government schools.
This achievement by the Hassan school is a strong testament to the impact of dedicated educators, motivated students, and consistent academic discipline in transforming government education.
