
Karnataka Launches AI-Powered Shiksha Co-Pilot to Support Teachers

The Karnataka government has introduced Shiksha Co-Pilot, an Artificial Intelligence-powered digital assistant designed to enhance teaching and learning experiences in schools. Launched by Minister of School Education Madhu Bangarappa, the tool is a collaborative effort between the Sikshana Foundation and Microsoft Research India. The initiative aims to provide teachers with personalized, curriculum-aligned content, reducing preparation time and enriching classroom experiences.
Shiksha Co-Pilot will offer dynamic resources like hands-on activities, assessments, and videos, while also including a chatbot for self-learning. Initially, 1,000 teachers will be trained, with plans for statewide implementation.
