Dr Shivani Bhat L, a NEET-PG aspirant from Mangaluru, secured an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 11 in the recently announced results. Despite the intense demands of her five-year MBBS journey, Shivani prioritized work-life balance, incorporating travel, fitness, and extracurricular activities into her routine while preparing for the NEET-PG exam.

Shivani recalls her disbelief upon learning about the test’s cancellation, scheduled for June 23. Although the news was widely circulated, she visited the test center in Ullal, only to find it deserted. Undeterred, she resumed her studies the next day for the rescheduled test on August 11, held in Hebbal, Mysuru.

Shivani completed her MBBS at Kasturba Medical College, Mangaluru, and plans to specialize in general medicine or radiodiagnosis. She credits her strong foundation in MBBS, particularly in physiology and pathology, for her success. She also utilized two online coaching platforms, tailoring her study hours according to her daily schedule.

Shivani is the daughter of Gokul Das Bhat, a city-based entrepreneur, and Gayathri Bhat.
