Mysuru: On Monday, Mysuru MP Yaduveer KC Wadiyar inaugurated the 100th library of the Kalisu Foundation at GHPS, Kumbara Koppal, emphasizing the importance of social skills and holistic education in students’ development. He highlighted that quality education goes beyond traditional learning, involving the provision of better facilities and engaging extracurricular activities.
During his address, Yaduveer stressed the need for facilities that enhance skill training among children from an early age. He pointed out that while the education system has made significant progress and is comparable to those in developing countries, there is still a gap in skill development. He advocated for integrating skill training into the educational framework to provide a more comprehensive learning experience.
Responding to a student’s query about his choice of public service, Yaduveer remarked that public service begins at home and extends to the broader community. He underscored that serving society starts with contributing positively within one’s own household and then extending those values to the community.
Yaduveer also discussed the role of technology in education, stating that modern education should incorporate technology to enhance learning outcomes. During the event, he shared a Kannada moral story with the students, emphasizing the significance of unity and cooperation.
The event at GHPS, Kumbara Koppal, marked a milestone for the Kalisu Foundation and highlighted the ongoing commitment to improving educational resources and opportunities for students in Mysuru.
