New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially released the detailed schedule for NEET UG 2025 counselling, with state and All India Quota (AIQ) processes to be conducted in four rounds — including Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a Stray Vacancy Round. The academic session for MBBS and BDS courses is set to commence on September 1, 2025.

The announcement marks the beginning of the crucial phase of medical admissions for lakhs of students across the country. The counselling includes AIQ, Deemed and Central Universities, and State quota seats.

    As per the official directive, MBBS and BDS classes will begin on September 1, 2025. The MCC has instructed all colleges and participating institutes to treat Saturdays, Sundays, and Gazetted holidays as working days to ensure the counselling process adheres to the national schedule.
