Retired DGP Dr. D.V. Guruprasad authored ‘Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhite-2023,’ while advocate and notary B.S. Prashanth authored the other two books. The event was organized jointly by the Mysore Bar Association and Lawyers Law Book, Bengaluru.

Judge Hegde highlighted that the books explain the new laws in a straightforward and meaningful manner, making them accessible to advocates, law students, and the general public. He emphasized the importance of understanding the modifications and procedures of the new laws, which will come into effect on July 1, 2024, and encouraged legal professionals and the public to make use of these resources.

Dr. Guruprasad shared that his book’s content is inspired by his experiences in the Police Department. He noted that the rearranged IPC sections and included omitted contents provide relevant information that can aid in case resolutions, ensuring their efforts are impactful.
