Mangaluru: The campus of Presidency PU College echoed with energy and enthusiasm as it hosted the District-Level Basketball Tournament 2025, a spirited event that brought together young athletes in a vibrant display of sportsmanship, teamwork, and community pride.
Inspiring inauguration
The tournament was inaugurated by Vikas Puthran, international athlete, model, and fitness trainer, who motivated students to pursue discipline and perseverance through sports. “Sports teach us crucial life lessons—perseverance, respect, and teamwork,” he remarked, setting the tone for the day.
Guest of Honour Shridhar Chikabettu praised the organisers for creating a platform that nurtures holistic student growth through competitive sports.

The valedictory ceremony featured Principal Raghavendra Shenoy, Mrs Shaila Saldana (Principal, Presidency School), Mr Arun Devraj (Assistant Director), and Mrs Prathiba Chetan (Admin Manager), who congratulated the winners and honoured the participants.
The event concluded with a lively flash mob performance, symbolising joy, unity, and the celebratory spirit of the tournament.
