About 80 young boys and girls from the ages of 16 to 28 gathered together for a day of insightful sessions, and valuable guidance that are much needed for their personal growth and place in the community.
The resource person for the day was Mr Leslie Aroza who serves as the director of Udupi’s commission for families. To grace the event was Father Ronson Pinto, Father Leslie D’souza and Father Rolwin Aranha.
Mr. Leslie Aroza, Udupi Diocese Director of the Commission for Family, served as the resource person for the training program, delivering insightful sessions that provided valuable guidance and inspiration to the attendees.
Vice President of Shirva Parish Pastoral Council, and Mrs. Jackaline Mendonca, Coordinator of the Commission for Youth, were also in attendance. Additionally, Mr. Mohan Noronha, Coordinator of the Commission for Family, along with Mrs. Maria Jacintha D’Souza, Mr. Victor, Animators of YCS, and Dr. Grynal D’Mello, Animator of ICYM Shirva, were present to support the event.
The Proximate Preparation program aimed to equip the youth with essential knowledge, fostering their development and readiness for future challenges. Organizers expressed gratitude to all participants and guests for their involvement and encouragement, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in nurturing the potential of the younger generation.
The event concluded with a renewed sense of commitment and enthusiasm among the youth, who are now better prepared to contribute positively to their community and beyond.
