Mangaluru: The men’s kho-kho team of St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) secured the runners-up position in the VTU Mangaluru Division Kho-Kho Tournament held at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management (SCEM), Adyar, on April 25, 2026.
The team delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament, demonstrating agility, coordination, and strong teamwork against competitive collegiate teams.
Strong showing under expert guidance
The players showcased remarkable skill and determination under the guidance of Ms. Vaneesha V Rodrigues, Physical Education Director (PED), and Mr. Sudheer, Assistant PED.
Their coaching and strategic preparation played a key role in helping the team reach the finals and achieve the runners-up title.
Individual honour for outstanding performance
Adding to the team’s success, Mr. Yogesh, a second-year B.E Mechanical Engineering student, was awarded the Best Attacker of the tournament for his exceptional performance.
His speed, precision, and tactical play significantly contributed to the team’s overall success.
