St Aloysius Awards Diplomas in Yoga Education to 32 Course Graduates

Mangaluru: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) and Avishkar Yoga Mangaluru conferred Yoga Diploma Degrees on students who successfully completed the Diploma in Yoga Education program.

The ceremony was held on Thursday at the University’s Sanidhya Auditorium.

University Vice-Chancellor Dr Melwin presented the degrees and addressed the students, emphasizing the significance of yoga in maintaining balance between body and mind.

He stressed the importance of education in spreading yoga across the globe and added that there is no age limit for learning.

Dr Alwyn D’Sa, the Registrar, spoke about yoga as the key to unlocking happiness in life and its crucial role in today’s world.

Dr Charles Furtado, Director of Diploma Programmes at the university, commended the execution of the yoga training program. He encouraged everyone to utilize their yoga knowledge for a healthy lifestyle and potential careers in the field. He also hinted at the possibility of introducing further yoga-related degrees.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr Vishwas Joy Misquith, Finance Officer, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), and Yoga Coordinator Kavita.

Founder of Avishkar Yoga, Yoga Kushalappa Gowda, delivered the welcome address.

Dr Bhaghyalaxmi proposed the vote of thanks, and Jennifer served as the master of ceremonies.

As many as 32 individuals, ranging from 18 to 82 years old and representing various professions, successfully completed the diploma course.
