Mangaluru: The St Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA), in association with the Benjamin Memorial Sports Foundation (BMFS), inaugurated the BMFS Summer Coaching Camp 2026 at the St Aloysius PU College Grounds, marking the beginning of a month-long sports training initiative for young athletes.

The camp aims to promote discipline, skill development, and holistic growth among participants through structured coaching across multiple sports disciplines.

Inauguration by dignitaries

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. Pradeep, Director of Youth Sports, Dakshina Kannada, who officially inaugurated the camp. In his address, he encouraged participants to make the most of the opportunity to learn, train, and grow through sports.

Mr. Arthur D’Souza, President of BMFS, highlighted the vision behind organising the camp, emphasising the importance of nurturing young talent through systematic coaching and guidance.

Mr. Anil Kumar, President of SACAA, appreciated the initiative and reaffirmed the alumni association’s continued support towards youth development and sports promotion.

The event was further marked by the presence of Dr. Tharanath Shetty and Mr. Ramohan Pai Maroor, adding significance to the occasion and encouraging the young participants.
