St Aloysius Industrial Training Institute Holds Campus Placement Drive 2024

Mangaluru: A ‘Campus Placement Drive-2024’ was held at St Aloysius Industrial Training Institute (SAITI) campus on 1 June 2024 to provide students with opportunities to start their professional careers.

Fifty-five companies participated in this drive. The placement drive witnessed participation from several prestigious companies and a high level of enthusiasm from the students.

Companies constantly lookout for efficient employees and students are searching for good companies to kick-start their careers.

A total of 260 students participated in the campus placement drive.

Convener of the programme along with N Shashank, Student Council President escorted the dignitaries to the dais.

The programme began with a prayer song which was led by Wilson, JTO.

The inauguration was done by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries.

The President of the programme, Rev Fr John Dsouza SJ, Director – St Aloysius ITI, Chief Guest  Ronald Gomes, Founder & Managing Director – Sunray Solar Pvt. Ltd, Mangalore;  Roshan Dsouza – Principal;  Noel Lobo – Training Officer, Alwyn Menezes – Vice Principal; Ashwin Dsouza – Convener of the programme;  N Shashank – Student Council, President; representatives from the companies, teaching and non-teaching staff, and candidates from various ITI’s participating in this drive were present.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest Ronald Gomes said, “Youth are the strength of the country. We have to guide you in a proper path and it is your duty to follow it. You will get many opportunities in your life but it is important how you make use of it…”

“…As the technology gets updated, we must get updated. Time to time update and upgrade yourself. You must be confident and not be afraid of anything.”

Delivering the Presidential Address Fr John D’Souza SJ said, “You should work in a company for at least 1 year. This will give you work experience. The companies must train the employees. You must work in a company with which you are satisfied because your health also matters. Don’t run after money.”

Ashwin Dsouza, convener of the programme proposed the vote of thanks.
