St Joseph’s University Bengaluru Celebrates Its 141st Annual Day

Bengaluru: St Joseph’s University commemorated its 141st Annual Day on 15th May, 2024, marking a historic transition as this is the last annual day under the revered name of St Joseph’s College.


The grand event was graced by the esteemed presence of Subhakar Rao Surapaneni, Chairman of Champions Group, who honoured the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The celebrations were further dignified by the attendance of Pro Chancellor Fr Swebert D’Silva SJ, and Vice Chancellor Dr Victor Lobo SJ.

The 141st Annual day was coordinated by Dr Joyce D’Souza and her excellent team of staff.

The Annual Day celebrations were a momentous occasion, celebrating the outstanding achievements of the students and recognizing the contributions of dedicated staff members.

Students were awarded for their exceptional academic performance and major accomplishments across various fields.

Special recognition was given to the NSS and NCC cadets who represented the country, showcasing their dedication and patriotic spirit.

In a heartfelt segment of the event, retired staff members who have served the institution with unwavering dedication were honored for their relentless service.

Their contributions have been instrumental in upholding the values and educational excellence for which St Joseph’s College is renowned.

Subhakar Rao Surapaneni, in his address, applauded the students for their achievements and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.

He emphasized the importance of perseverance, innovation, and leadership in the journey ahead.

Pro Chancellor Fr Swebert D’Silva SJ and Vice Chancellor Dr Victor Lobo SJ expressed their gratitude towards the entire Josephite community for their support and contributions over the years.
