Mangaluru: The Yenepoya School, in association with the Mangalore Quizzing Foundation (MQF), hosted Yenquiz 2025, a two-day interschool quiz competition held on 14 and 15 November 2025 at the school campus, marking the institution’s 25th year of establishment. The quiz brought together 200 enthusiastic participants from schools across Mangaluru and Udupi.
Two-day quiz event tests knowledge and teamwork
Dr Annappa Kamath, President of MQF, expressed his delight at the event’s success, describing it as “one of the best quiz competitions” he has conducted. He highlighted the overwhelming response and the eagerness displayed by students to participate and learn.
The competition was divided into two categories:
- Grades 5–8 (Day 1)
- Grades 9–12/PUC (Day 2)
Winners across both categories competed for cash prizes amounting to ₹60,000.
Winners – Grades 5 to 8
1st Place: Advaith T. Padiyar & Pranav Kotekar – Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru
2nd Place: K Abhay Nair & Sonith Shetty Kidoor – PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya 1, Panambur
3rd Place: Srujan N Y & Vibhav Kalkura – Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar
Winners – Grades 9 to 12 / PUC
1st Place: Skanda J Shetty & Thakshak Shetty – Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar
1st Runners-Up: Vidyuth Ajith Soman & Shantanu Vaibhav Anish – CFAL
2nd Runners-Up: Shannara Kadidal & Sumedh Rao – St Theresa School
School leadership applauds participation
Associate Director of The Yenepoya School, Mr Antony Joseph, praised the strong turnout and the high level of engagement. He commended the participants for their enthusiasm and confidence, stating that the event reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing intellectual curiosity and knowledge-based excellence among students.
Yenquiz 2025 concluded on a high note with winners receiving their cash prizes, leaving the venue with pride and excitement.
