Veteran actor Sudhir Dalvi, best remembered for his divine portrayal of Lord Sai Baba in Manoj Kumar’s 1977 classic Shirdi Ke Saibaba, has been hospitalised at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai, since October 8, 2025. The 86-year-old actor, known for his serene presence and soulful expressions, is currently battling severe sepsis, a life-threatening infection requiring intensive care.
According to reports, Dalvi’s medical expenses have already exceeded ₹10 lakh, with doctors estimating the total cost could reach ₹15 lakh. His family has appealed to fans and members of the film fraternity for financial assistance, as the treatment costs continue to rise.
A report by Movie Talkies stated that Dalvi remains under close medical supervision, and while his condition is critical, he continues to show remarkable resilience.
