Mumbai: Akshay Kumar is known for pulling off the most daring of stunts. However, things went terribly wrong when Akshay was shooting for a song for his upcoming film, Singh is Bliing and was supposed to jump through a ring of fire.
The accident took place when Kumar was shooting for the film directed by Prabhudeva, where he plays a daredevil Sikh who loves to flaunt his combat skills. The Khiladi as usual insisted on doing his stunt scenes himself.
The scene required him to jump through a fire ring. Everything went as per plan during rehearsals, but Kumar mistimed the jump in the final take.
What happened next is shown in a video posted on YouTube, by one of the producers of the film. It shows Akshay Kumar battling the flames before the safety crew rushes to his rescue.
The incident certainly raises concerns about safety of actors during outdoor shoots.
Singh is Bliing, which is scheduled to hit the screens on October 2, 2015, also features Amy Jackson and Kay Kay Menon in important roles.
