Mumbai: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar recently shared a disturbing incident involving his 13-year-old daughter during the inauguration of Cyber Awareness Month 2025 in Mumbai. He revealed that a few months ago, while playing an online video game, his daughter was approached by a stranger who, after confirming her gender, requested nude photographs. She immediately turned off the game and informed her mother, highlighting the potential dangers of online interactions.

Kumar emphasized the urgency of educating children about online safety and cyber threats. He appealed to Maharashtra’s Chief Minister to introduce a weekly “Cyber Period” in schools for students in classes 7 to 10, aiming to equip them with the knowledge to navigate the digital world securely.

The actor also appealed to parents and educators to remain vigilant about children’s online activities. He emphasized that timely guidance and awareness can prevent children from falling prey to predators and safeguard their mental and emotional well-being.

This revelation has reignited conversations around the safety of children in the digital space and the need for structured cyber education across schools. Experts have supported Kumar’s call, citing the growing number of cases where minors are targeted on gaming and social media platforms.
