The Malayalam coming-of-age sports drama Alappuzha Gymkhana, which released in theatres on April 10, 2025, is set for its digital premiere on SonyLIV this Thursday, June 5. Directed by Khalid Rahman, the film will be available in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.

Set in the coastal town of Alappuzha, the story follows five school-leaving friends who turn to boxing as a path toward college admission through the sports quota, after facing academic uncertainties. What begins as a desperate attempt to secure their future becomes a journey of discipline, friendship, and self-discovery.

With Naslen in the lead, the cast also features Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Sandeep Pradeep, Anagha Ravi, and others including Franco Francis, Baby Jean, and Shiva Hariharan. The group trains under a local coach and later under the mentorship of a state-level boxer, pushing their limits ahead of the Kerala State Amateur Boxing Championship.

The screenplay is co-written by Khalid Rahman and Sreeni Saseendran, with dialogues by Ratheesh Ravi. Produced by Khalid Rahman, Jobin George, Sameer Karat, and Subeesh Kannanchery, the film boasts visuals by Jimshi Khalid, music by Vishnu Vijay, and editing by Nishadh Yusuf.
