Mumbai: Actor Alia Bhatt added a touch of Bollywood glamour to the pre-wedding celebrations of her close friend Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, with a video of her dancing to ‘Maahi Ve’ from the 2003 film Kal Ho Naa Ho going viral on social media.
The celebration, held ahead of Akansha’s wedding to filmmaker Sharan Sharma, featured family members and close friends. Alia was seen performing alongside Akansha’s sister Anushka Ranjan Kapoor and actor Aditya Seal.

According to reports, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and filmmaker Sharan Sharma have been in a relationship since 2022, although they largely kept their relationship away from the public eye.
The couple is understood to have chosen a private wedding ceremony attended only by close family members and friends.
Reports also indicate that they opted for a registered marriage instead of traditional wedding rituals, with the legal formalities taking place at the Ranjan family’s residence in Mumbai.
A wedding reception has also been planned for invited guests.
