Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has embraced the viral Studio Ghibli-inspired image trend, following in the footsteps of other stars like Sachin Tendulkar, Arjun Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, and Parineeti Chopra. Bachchan recently posted animated images from a fan meet-and-greet, where he affectionately refers to his followers as his “Extended Family.”
On his blog, Bachchan shared his reflections on the growing trend, saying: “…and Ghibli… takes over the world… in the digital communication era…” He also shared a short clip and discussed the viral concept of “reels,” calling them a form of content that “demands attention.”
Studio Ghibli, a legendary Japanese animation studio, was founded in 1985 by Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata, along with producer Toshio Suzuki. Over the years, the studio has become internationally famous for its stunning films, shorts, TV commercials, and television specials, earning a place in global pop culture.
Recently, OpenAI’s platform ChatGPT launched a new feature that allows users to transform their images into the iconic Ghibli animation style, sparking a wave of excitement, including among celebrities like Bachchan.
In another update, Bachchan revealed that the preparations for the next season of Kaun Banega Crorepati are underway, with the first step being the creation of the promotional materials to invite participants. Reflecting on how engrossed audiences can get with films, Bachchan humorously mentioned how viewers sometimes end up mimicking the characters.
