Bollywood celebrity Katrina Kaif Visit Mangaluru’s Koragajjana Temple
The renowned Kuttaru Koragajjana temple in Mangaluru recently welcomed several Bollywood celebrities. Katrina Kaif, Athiya Shetty, KL Rahul, and Ahan Shetty were among those seen paying homage to the local deity in Karnataka.
A photo of Katrina Kaif visiting the temple surfaced online on Monday morning. Clad in a white salwar kameez, the actress was captured conversing with temple officials at the Swamy Koragajja Aadisthala office. Mangalore Meri Jaan’s Instagram page shared the moment, noting, “Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif visited the Office of Swamy Koragajja Aadisthala in Kuthar today to seek blessings from Swamy Koragajja.”

Coincidentally, cricketer KL Rahul, along with his wife Athiya and her brother Ahan, were also spotted seeking blessings at the temple the previous Sunday evening. PTI released a video showing the trio at the Kuttaru Koragajjana Shrine in Mangaluru. Given Athiya and Ahan’s father Sunil Shetty’s ties to Tulunadu, their participation in the traditional ritual known as Kola came as no surprise to their fans.

Recently, Katrina, Athiya, Ahan, and KL Rahul attended the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai. Katrina and her husband Vicky Kaushal were there together, as were all members of the Shetty family.
Images from the wedding were shared on their Instagram accounts, with Athiya describing it as a ‘celebration of happily ever afters’. Meanwhile, Katrina posted photos of herself and Vicky dressed in matching black and gold outfits without captions.
Koragajja holds significant stature as a folk deity revered in the coastal regions of Karnataka. Although photography and filming inside the shrine were traditionally restricted, exceptions were made for the visiting celebrities. Koragajja is revered as a potent guardian deity safeguarding villages from malevolent forces, and festivals in the deity’s honor are marked by folk rituals, music, and dance.
